Take a look at your life: there are many things you love about your life, however, there are likely things you would like to change as well. There’s probably something you are wishing would change. When faced with a situation like this, you have two options. You can either sit and wait for change to happen by itself or you can do something about it and make the change you desire.
BE MORE PROACTIVE
Your first option, waiting for change, is very passive. Things may change, things may not change with this option. Those that choose this method are not likely to achieve many major accomplishments and, by some people standards, are taking the easy way out. This option seems to go hand in hand with the microwave mentality. This metaphor represents having the attitude that if something isn’t accomplished in fewer than five minutes, it isn’t worth doing. Those that need instant gratification will choose to wait for change. Yes, this way is easy, but more often than not, does not produce the results you seek.

But don’t forget, there’s a second option! You can make change happen, however, change requires effort, action, and work. Change hardly ever occurs by chance or without effort. In order to get the changes you seek, make a plan and set goals then work toward meeting those goals and completing that plan.
Some people may shy away from taking action on their plan because there is a potential to fail. But you cannot let failure or the potential of failing overcome you. You must overcome it! Failing isn’t really failing at all. It is learning and taking away beneficial lessons that you may not have learned otherwise.

Change is most likely to occur with action. Play an active role in your life. Creating a plan and following through on each step of the plan. Change may come knocking at your door, but you must pave the pathway to the door with effort and hard work.
